Common House Package Upgrades

In general terms, upgrades or design requirements outside of the Standard House Package Guidelines.  Upgrades will generally add additional cost to a Standard House Package.  The following items are the more common, but not limited to, upgrades:
  1. Plans that exceed the 2009 IRC Code
  2. Hurricane or Seismic building zone requirements
  3. 9' of taller walls
  4. Roof designs greater than 5/12 pitch, 12" overhangs, hip roofs, multiple hips or gables, valley sets or multiple roof lines
  5. Roof or wall sheathing in lieu of 7/16" OSB
  6. Floor or roof designs requiring 12", 16', 19.2" centers, over-sized or special designed I-Joist, girders, trusses, or LVL's
  7. Additional windows, interior or exterior doors or style of doors or windows kitchen, cabinets or "U" shaped kitchen
  8. Appliances
  9. Gas or split HVAC units
  10. ADA requirements
  11. An On-site NHC representative.  Limited availability and subject to schedule availability, provided to first-time purchasers at no charge.
