How To Become A
Seniors at Home Owner

Qualifications for Our Seniors At Home

1.    Age:  Applicants must be 55* or older at the time the
       application is completed.

2.    Need:  Applicant must be living in a substandard 
       structure, overcrowded    conditions, spending more 
       than 30% of gross household income for rent and 
       utilities or homeless.  Substandard housing is a 
       structure beyond repair with inadequate plumbing,
       heating or cooling systems, or having hazardous 
       mechanical conditions.

3.    Ability to Pay:  Applicants must be at or below 50%
       of area medium income and have income to cover 
       house payment (which will include property taxes 
       and homeowners insurance).

4.    Land: When NHC cannot obtain land, the applicant
       must own their own      property where the house will
       be built.**

5.    Citizenship: Applicant must be a legal U.S. citizen.

6.    Other: Depending on the requirements of grants 
       obtained, other criteria may be required.

* Some funding sources may require applicants to be 60 years old or older.

NHC Partnership

New Hope Construction (NHC) is a non-profit Christian housing ministry. We provide cost efficient pre-framed and pre-cut house packages on today's market designed with the highest standards of quality, energy efficient materials and craftsmanship. A package provided by NHC will enable quicker builds, costs savings and streamlined in-house accounting and administration. We actually build (with clamps) each house in our warehouse before it is shipped to the site.

We have many in-house floor plans available or we can build any floor plan you provide to us.

Our complete house package includes in-stock drawings, pre-framed interior & exterior walls drilled for electrical (labeled and ready for on site assembly), floor system, engineered energy heel roof trusses & sheathing, shingles, felt, vinyl siding, Energy Star low E windows, exterior doors & locksets, nails, adhesive, caulk, complete electrical & plumbing, shower/tub units, light fixtures, Energy Star 15 SEER HVAC unit; floor coverings (pile carpet, laminate, or vinyl), insulation, shelving, interior doors and knobs, interior trim, kitchen cabinets & countertops, bathroom vanities, paint, paint brushes, rollers, and more; even the light bulbs.

We offer many upgrades to accommodate local codes. Some commonly used upgrades are 8' windstorm OSB for walls (we provide a special nail pattern for maximum strength), tech shield roof sheathing,metal roof, and hardy plank siding.
